My Tech Guys adapted quickly at the beginning of the COVID-19 Pandemic by setting up employees to work remotely and creating a VOIP phone system for communications. Since we started, My Tech Guys has always offered remote support for our PC and Mac customers, which allowed staff to keep supporting clients from home.

Since we support medical clinics and other essential services, we followed the guidance of our Provincial Public Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry and supplied all staff with hand sanitizer and face masks, and had a morning Health and Safety Muster each day to confirm staff did not have symptoms of COVID-19, so that we could continue our remote and on-site operations.

When we opened the stores we re-arranged them for social distancing, and installed touchless hand sanitizer dispensers, and provided disposable masks to customers. Both our Courtenay and Comox stores opened in June to provide the ability for sales and service.

I want to thank the amazing My Tech Guys Team for stepping up and ensuring their own safety and the safety of customers as we adapt to this pandemic.

Like many other businesses, My Tech Guys has been hit hard financially by having to have both stores closed for months, and  working in smaller groups to keep staff and customers safe. However, I am proud that we are now back up to full staffing after hiring everyone back.

Thanks to our over 21,000 residential customers and nearly 2,000 business customers for continuing to support us.
