My Tech Guys Mailbag
We often get questions sent to email@example.com regarding a whole range of topics. In this new feature, we will be sharing some of these questions and our responses.
Is there a way to have my computer go directly to my desktop/icons when I turn the computer on. How do I disable the photo gallery that came with the computer?
Although sometimes this “Photo gallery” can show us some novel pictures you are not the only person we have had ask to get them removed from Windows 10. This can be done fairly straightforwardly but please give me a call if you have any questions. Follow the following steps:
Recommended: Skip Windows 10 login screen with netplwiz ( A Windows function)
– Press the Windows Key + R at the same time to open Run box, and enter “netplwiz”
– Uncheck “User must enter a user name and password to use the computer”.
– Click Apply and if there is pop-up dialog, please confirm the user account and enter its password.
After this is done it should boot straight to the desktop on next startup!
Please let us know if you found this useful and many thanks for asking,
