Since Xander Holmes (My Tech Guys', mobile technician) entered Canada (Vancouver), in September 2000, he made it his mission to get his parents, Alex and Viva-Louise Holmes, out of South-Africa - to a much safer place - and where else, but Canada! 

In the process of immigrating himself, he inspired his brother-in-law a medical doctor to also choose Canada as their destination. To top it of, Xander's youngest sibling decided that she's not going to be left behind when 'everybody' else (in the Holmes clan) were going to resettle in Canada. So, she started her own little mission to come to Canada, as well.

On Wednesday, 29th September 2010, after many years of ups and downs - Xander and his parents finally received Canadian citizenship together. They were part of a group of 59 new Canadians - all telling a story of great happiness with a feeling of accomplishment...
